A lot of these Youtubers have big followings so I don't see why they don't teach more practical tactics of play and stop with this whole passive style because it's not working. What can happen as well is even if the enemy are driven back the passive ships are slow and it ends up being too late by the time they get even to the middle of the map. We die either by all ships gone, timer reaches 100, or the game knows there is no chance of winning so ends the game early. This is from my own experience and I'm trying to learn the game so I really look at the losses in each battle and most of the time it could be a clear win but passive play causes us to lose. NO IT'S NOT! People don't seem to understand that yoloing and extreme passive playing results in the same conclusion. Even in the comments section some people are saying "it's the new Meta". Giving out this kind of advice, especially when you don't follow it yourself, is part of the reason why MM is in such a state. I'm not saying you need to yolo in but a team with good players know that people are going to be sitting in the back so they all push ahead and box them in for the easy win. Potato himself plays very aggressively but in this he's telling people to play passive. I wish Youtubers would stop giving players this advice as it's not correct.
